Do you want to have a masterpiece on your wrist? It seems impossible but Swatch x Le Louvre makes it easy. Together, the watch brand (@swatch<\/a>) and the world’s most visited museum (@museelouvre<\/a>) have produced an exclusive capsule containing four watches with masterpieces from the permanent collection.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Swatch continues its long collaboration with the Louvre Museum.<\/h2>\n

Pioneer in artistic collaborations since 1985, Swatch<\/strong> has not only collaborated with contemporary artists, but has also launched exclusive collections in collaboration with museums. A clear example was its collaboration with the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam<\/strong>, the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum<\/strong> in Madrid and, more recently, the Louvre in Paris<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

This latest collection of four watches, inspired by the most admired paintings of the Parisian museum, is the result of a long collaboration between the two institutions<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Last May, Swatch and the Louvre signed an agreement to launch an exclusive watch for the 30th anniversary of the Louvre Pyramid<\/strong>. Two months later, in July, they released the “Libert\u00e9, \u00c9galit\u00e9, Ponctualit\u00e9”<\/strong> watch, which humorously deflected the motto of the French Republic and paid tribute to Eug\u00e8ne Delacroix’s famous painting: “La libert\u00e9 guidant le peuple”<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Now, four other works on display at the Louvre have inspired the Swiss watch brand: The Hijacking of H\u00e9l\u00e8ne, Marie de M\u00e9dicis, Henri IV and the Mona Lisa<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
