On 6 February, Club Malasa\u00f1a will be inaugurated in the iconic Madrid neighbourhood that gives it its name. Under a concept of exclusivity, secrecy and homage, the Malasa\u00f1a Club inherits a unique location, the historic Sala El\u00edgeme, a bastion of Madrid’s movida.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"club<\/p>\n

The Club Malasa\u00f1a<\/strong><\/a> boasts one of the most emblematic venues of Madrid’s nightlife<\/strong>, with a historic past that dates back to 1978. The club opened its doors under the name of Malasa\u00f1a, until it was renamed El\u00edgeme<\/strong> in 1985. At that time, its stage was home to many talented people from our country<\/strong>, such as Sabina, Loles Le\u00f3n, Ketama and Luis Pastor<\/strong>. El\u00edgeme shone amidst the political uncertainty, enhancing the national art<\/strong> and the importance of author’s music, becoming a bastion of the Madrid scene. After its controversial closure in 1989, the hall was alternating different projects.<\/p>\n

\"club<\/p>\n

This brief tour through the history of the hall is necessary to understand what the Club Malasa\u00f1a @club_malasana<\/strong> <\/a>will encompass. The name itself pays tribute to its origins and makes it clear that its DNA as a cultural symbol will be present in this new project<\/strong>. Club Malasa\u00f1a takes us to a world in which a certain Miami or Scorsese’s Scarface aesthetics<\/strong> shake hands with a strong nineteenth-century spirit<\/strong>, bringing together different eras in the same space with a touch of nostalgia and sophistication. Velvet, golden touches, chandeliers and mirrors<\/strong> will create a unique imagery that promises to become the perfect meeting point for the new movement that’s coming to Madrid.<\/p>\n

With a creative direction led by two well known Madrid leisure celebrities such as Laura Vandall and Edgar Kerri<\/strong> (Cha Ch\u00e1 The Club & Lucky Dragon), and all advised by interior designer Victoria Solano<\/strong>, the hall promises to become a cultural epicentre of the capital.<\/p>\n

Inside the premises, there is an atmosphere of inspiration and creativity in which we can find a mosaic by the well-known artist Ignasi Monreal<\/strong>, who recently conquered the Italian firm Gucci with his art. The tile mural has been developed by La Guillo<\/strong>, the studio created by the artist.<\/p>\n

The opening<\/strong> of the Malasa\u00f1a Club on February 6th<\/strong> will mark the beginning of a new era of leisure and music. The Club promises a varied offer in which the wide spectrum of music will derive between genres such as disco, \u00edtalo, cumbia or electronic cumbia.<\/strong><\/p>\n
