Google is continuing its efforts to facilitate and protect the work of its employees in the current situation. After providing a $1,000 grant for office equipment<\/a>, it has now extended teleworking until July 2021 due to the Coronavirus pandemic.<\/strong><\/p>\n

On Monday, CEO Sundas Pichai<\/strong> announced the following in an internal release: ‘To give employees the ability to plan ahead, we are extending our global home-based volunteer option until June 30, 2021, for positions that do not need to be in the office<\/strong><\/em>‘.<\/p>\n

It is estimated that some 200,000 employees<\/strong> will ‘take advantage’ of this extension to date; an update that has affected companies such as @twitter<\/a><\/strong>, which already allows its employees to work from home indefinitely<\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
