Abloh&#8217;s firm is suing a California ice cream chain that is allegedly being inspired by his designs.<\/strong><\/p>\n<div id='gallery-1' class='gallery galleryid-154457 gallery-columns-2 gallery-size-full'><figure class='gallery-item'>\n\t\t\t<div class='gallery-icon portrait'>\n\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" width=\"614\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/highxtar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/highxtar-off-white-demanda-heladeria-2.jpg\" class=\"attachment-full size-full\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/highxtar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/highxtar-off-white-demanda-heladeria-2.jpg 614w, https:\/\/highxtar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/highxtar-off-white-demanda-heladeria-2-240x300.jpg 240w, https:\/\/highxtar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/highxtar-off-white-demanda-heladeria-2-508x635.jpg 508w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 614px) 100vw, 614px\" \/>\n\t\t\t<\/div><\/figure><figure class='gallery-item'>\n\t\t\t<div class='gallery-icon portrait'>\n\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" width=\"614\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/highxtar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/highxtar-off-white-demanda-heladeria-3.jpg\" class=\"attachment-full size-full\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/highxtar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/highxtar-off-white-demanda-heladeria-3.jpg 614w, https:\/\/highxtar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/highxtar-off-white-demanda-heladeria-3-240x300.jpg 240w, https:\/\/highxtar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/highxtar-off-white-demanda-heladeria-3-508x635.jpg 508w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 614px) 100vw, 614px\" \/>\n\t\t\t<\/div><\/figure>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\n<p>Apparently, Off-White claims the &#8216;Afters&#8217; ice cream store is &#8220;confusingly similar&#8221; to their brand graphics.<\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8220;The Off-White brand has been recognized for its distinctive graphics and clothing logos, including a uniquely designed brand composed of alternating parallel diagonal lines, which has been used on or in connection with Off-White products since at least 2013,&#8221; reads the lawsuit, which was filed in federal court in California on Tuesday.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8220;The retail accessories, signage, [and] interior decoration&#8221; is intended &#8220;to mislead consumers into believing that [their] products are Off-White products and\/or that [he or she] is affiliated with Off-White.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-154448\" src=\"https:\/\/highxtar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/highxtar-off-white-demanda-heladeria-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"632\" srcset=\"https:\/\/highxtar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/highxtar-off-white-demanda-heladeria-1.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/highxtar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/highxtar-off-white-demanda-heladeria-1-300x185.jpg 300w, https:\/\/highxtar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/highxtar-off-white-demanda-heladeria-1-768x474.jpg 768w, https:\/\/highxtar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/highxtar-off-white-demanda-heladeria-1-973x601.jpg 973w, https:\/\/highxtar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/highxtar-off-white-demanda-heladeria-1-508x314.jpg 508w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The truth is that it has long been rumored that this design in question <strong>was taken directly from the logo of the Glasgow airport<\/strong> &#8211; designed by M<strong>argaret Calvert in the 1960s<\/strong> &#8211; which also featured stripes on the vehicles, forklifts and flight stairs.<\/p>\n<p>In 2018, the Norwegian sportswear brand<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/highxtar.com\/when-activewear-rescued-fashion\/?lang=en\"> Helly Hansen<\/a> filed a lawsuit against Off-White&#x2122; for copyright infringement of its striped logo<\/strong>, claiming that they had begun using it 40 years earlier.<\/p>\n<p>Not to mention the <strong>confrontation with Belgian designer <a href=\"https:\/\/highxtar.com\/walter-van-beirendonck-denounces-virgil-ablohs-plagiarism\/?lang=en\">Walter Van Beirendock<\/a><\/strong> after the show of the Louis Vuitton SS21 collection, who claimed that the garments presented were copies of those he had designed.<\/p>\n<p>He who is without sin may cast the first stone.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We are used to seeing Off-White being accused of plagiarism.
