The latest Converse x Chinatown Market collection tells the story of two NBA<\/strong>
\ntwo NBA champion franchises this spring.\u00a0The new collaboration features Jeff Hamilton’s nostalgic league championship designs for the Los Angeles Lakers and Chicago Bulls.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This spring, two of the NBA’s most storied franchises and their groundbreaking success stories will be reinterpreted on two \u00a0Converse<\/strong><\/a> classics. In collaboration with Chinatown Market and Jeff Hamilton, the Converse Pro Leather and Chuck 70s are inspired by the Hamilton jackets worn by the league’s elite over the past three decades.<\/p>\n

As a tribute to Hamilton, the Los Angeles Lakers’ famous three-time NBA championship in 2002 serves as inspiration for the first Pro Leather, a basketball classic made famous in 1976 by the high-flying style of Julius “Dr. J” Erving. Rebuilt stitch-for-stitch in 2019, the simple yet structured leather upper sports an LA skyline.<\/p>\n

The silhouette also features an embroidered “3-In-ARow” graphic by the ankle and layers of patches reminiscent of the famous jackets. As a complement, the Lakers-inspired Chuck 70s also feature a skyline graphic around the leather upper topped with transparent Chuck patches.<\/p>\n
