The fact that Google Argentina&#8217;s domain name was in the hands of a graphic designer for 5 dollars has been both a product of parody and &#8220;ridicule&#8221; for a technological giant of Google&#8217;s caliber.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-186881 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/highxtar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/highxtar-nombre-dominio-google-argentina-vende-cinco-dolares-1.jpg\" alt=\"Google\" width=\"1000\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/highxtar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/highxtar-nombre-dominio-google-argentina-vende-cinco-dolares-1.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/highxtar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/highxtar-nombre-dominio-google-argentina-vende-cinco-dolares-1-300x120.jpg 300w, https:\/\/highxtar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/highxtar-nombre-dominio-google-argentina-vende-cinco-dolares-1-768x307.jpg 768w, https:\/\/highxtar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/highxtar-nombre-dominio-google-argentina-vende-cinco-dolares-1-973x389.jpg 973w, https:\/\/highxtar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/highxtar-nombre-dominio-google-argentina-vende-cinco-dolares-1-508x203.jpg 508w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>It seems that the tech empire forgot to <strong>renew Google Argentina&#8217;s domain name<\/strong> and let a person like <strong>Nicol\u00e1s Kurona<\/strong> become the legal owner of <strong>Google.com.ar<\/strong>. &#8220;I never imagined that I would be allowed to buy it. I entered www.google.com.ar in my browser and it didn&#8217;t work. I thought something strange was going on.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The 30-year-old Argentinean <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Argentop\/status\/1385062114113556480\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">made the purchase legally<\/a>, without intermediary hacks, as he went to <strong>Network Information Center Argentina<\/strong>, typed in Google, and discovered that<strong> Google Argentina<\/strong> was available for purchase. He then purchased it for <strong>5 dollars<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>It did not take long for <strong>Nicolas<\/strong> to discover that millions of Google searches were appearing under his new website. However, <strong>NIC<\/strong> (Network Information Center) quickly took up the case and<strong> returned the domain to Google<\/strong>, who, of course, had claimed it.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/highxtar.com\/googles-most-searched-of-2020\/?lang=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">global tech giant<\/a> has<strong> declined to comment<\/strong> on the episode.
