Anscheidt<\/a>\u00a0(@marenhannah<\/a>) NY | \u00a0<\/strong>Nike and COMME DES GAR\u00c7ONS (@commedesgarcons<\/a>)<\/strong> have been long-time partners, steadily consolidated the gap between streetwear and high fashion. All collaborations give a nod to CDG\u2019s avant-garde nature, and just last year, the longstanding partnership between sportswear brand and fashion house arguably reached its peak at the unveil of the COMME des GAR\u00c7ONS x Nike Air VaporMax<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n

Once upon a time Nike reached into its design archives to resurrect the \u2018Night Track<\/strong><\/em>\u2019, a classic which they then rendered new with today’s innovation. The glitter detailing of the shoe is inspired by the 1950s trend of customizing old cars and the era that kicked off a music revolution in American culture, spawning the invention of ’70s disco. Rei Kawakubo<\/strong> took this all americana inspired retro runner, kept it\u2019s bold accents, but cleaned it up with an all-black colorway.<\/p>\n
