But beyond that, what has really prepared me for this role is my personal life. I&#8217;ve been a lifelong <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CO-ZgBiNXXg\/?utm_source=ig_embed\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">J. Crew<\/a><\/strong> customer and my personal style is rooted in American culture,&#8221; <strong>Babenzien<\/strong> said of his connection to the new position.<\/p>\n<p>In the <strong>early 2000s<\/strong>, the brand reached its <strong>peak<\/strong> through American-style basics, hybridized with items from<strong> St\u00fcssy<\/strong> or <a href=\"https:\/\/highxtar.com\/supreme-x-timberland-the-collaboration-youve-been-waiting-for\/?lang=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Supreme<\/strong><\/a>, which Babenzien himself and his community created. That status was in decline, as in recent years, <strong>J. Crew<\/strong> has seen its sales <strong>decline significantly<\/strong> due to quality and design problems with its products. Now,<strong> Brendon Babenzien<\/strong> will bring a <strong>new brand identity<\/strong> to the house, &#8220;fusing the vibrancy and creativity of today&#8217;s style subcultures with an innovative appreciation of classic menswear&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Babenzien&#8217;s <strong>first full collection<\/strong> for J. Crew is expected to launch in <strong>mid-2022<\/strong>, offering a streetwear update of the heritage and archival pieces.
