The UK joins other countries such as New Zealand, Norway and Sweden in banning the boiling alive of lobsters, as well as other crustaceans or molluscs in general.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"UK<\/p>\n

The new bill, which protects the welfare rights of creatures<\/strong> and prevents animal suffering, will be enforced to prevent inhumane food preparation.<\/p>\n

Once the bill is passed, it will be illegal in the UK to boil lobsters without first freezing them<\/strong>, as there is ample evidence of the ability of these sensitive creatures to feel pain and suffering. Although this regulation will harm the fishing and culinary industry, it is undoubtedly a great animal protection measure.<\/p>\n
