But in case you still don&#8217;t know what this case is about, we&#8217;ll give you a little background.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-212715 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/highxtar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/highxtar-carla-bruni-support-models-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"623\" height=\"385\" srcset=\"https:\/\/highxtar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/highxtar-carla-bruni-support-models-1.jpg 623w, https:\/\/highxtar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/highxtar-carla-bruni-support-models-1-300x185.jpg 300w, https:\/\/highxtar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/highxtar-carla-bruni-support-models-1-508x314.jpg 508w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 623px) 100vw, 623px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This case we are referring to has to do with the complaint made by <strong>24 women<\/strong> a few years ago, all of them models, <strong>against their ex-agent<\/strong>. After the case was paralysed, it was not until last year that the judges decided to reopen it and continue with the investigation. This complaint issued by the models presents <strong>very harsh testimonies related to accusations of rape and sexual misconduct<\/strong>, including that of American model <strong>Carr\u00e9 Sutton.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>All this, as expected, has led to a flood of expressions of support for the cast of models, including one of the top models par excellence of the 1990s, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/carlabruniofficial\/?hl=es\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Carla Bruni<\/strong><\/a>. The Italian was one of the first to speak out, telling <strong>The New York Times<\/strong>: &#8220;Enough is enough, I stand with Carr\u00e9 and the other survivors of <strong>G\u00e9rald Marie<\/strong> as they come to Paris to testify against their abuser. <strong>No industry is immune to sexual abuse&#8221;.<\/strong> She continued: <strong>&#8220;There is much work to be done in France and around the world to ensure that women are protected from sexual violence in the workplace&#8221;.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>But not only <strong>Carla Bruni<\/strong> has been the only one to say so far, but other <strong>top models<\/strong> and <strong>industry colleagues<\/strong> have also spoken out, such as <strong>Helena Christensen and Karen Elson<\/strong>, the latter of whom expressed her desire for companies to <strong>add respect and reform the same modeling agency system<\/strong> that she publicly abandoned in 2017.
