Moco Museum will open its doors on 16 October 2021 in a 16th century palace in the city centre of Barcelona.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Modern Contemporary Museum<\/strong> (Moco) is setting up in Barcelona<\/strong> with the same inclusive museum model that already works with great success in Amsterdam. On 16 October 2021<\/strong>, the Moco Museum<\/strong> will open its doors to the public, marking a new chapter for the independent museum and for the city of Barcelona.<\/p>\n

Modern and Contemporary Art<\/h6>\n

Following its first location in Amsterdam, Moco Museum<\/strong> reaffirms its commitment to exhibiting iconic works by internationally renowned and emerging artists. Moco Amsterdam<\/strong> first opened its doors in April 2016. Today, Moco Museum<\/strong> has welcomed close to two million visitors from more than 120 different nationalities. For many visitors, it is an entry point into the art world. The museum is proud to welcome a generally young audience who visit and fall in love with art for the first time.<\/p>\n

ON EXHIBITION<\/h6>\n

At Moco Museum<\/strong> in Barcelona you can find works by Andy Warhol<\/strong>, Jean-Michel Basquiat<\/strong>, Banksy<\/strong>, Salvador Dal\u00ed<\/strong>, Damien Hirst<\/strong>, Keith Haring<\/strong>, KAWS<\/strong>, Hayden Kays<\/strong>, Yayoi Kusama<\/strong>, David LaChapelle<\/strong> and Takashi Murakami<\/strong> among others, as well as the immersive digital art of teamLab<\/strong> with Les Fant\u00f4mes<\/strong> and Studio Irma<\/strong> and the space dedicated to the NFT phenomenon.<\/p>\n

Special exhibitions<\/strong> – Curated by Simon de Pury<\/strong>, legendary auctioneer, art dealer and one of the art world’s leading figures; Moco Museum<\/strong> will present Guillermo Lorca<\/strong>‘s first European solo show, in which the contemporary Chilean artist combines magic and realism in Esplendor de la Noche<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n
