In such an important struggle for self-esteem, actress Barbie Ferreira, who stars in Euphoria<\/em>, says the series has served as a therapeutic process for her.<\/strong><\/p>\n

During the second episode of the second season of Euphoria<\/strong><\/em><\/a>, Kat<\/strong>‘s character experiences a crisis of self-love in which different characters encourage her to be comfortable with her own physique. For her, this scene was a kind of ‘therapy’ that contributed to her well-being and positivity in the fight against prejudice and in favour of both physical and mental self-love.<\/p>\n

“I feel like a lot of emotional stuff came up for me because of the pandemic, and putting some of that into this season was therapeutic for me,”<\/strong> <\/em>Ferreira<\/strong> says. “I hope that other people who watch it can also feel the same way and get rid of the pressure to be perfect and happy all the time.<\/strong><\/em> Because there’s no such thing.”<\/p>\n

The actress uses the occasion to launch a global message in which she advocates that “bigger bodies are not as ‘in’ as they used to be, which is very sad to me.<\/strong><\/em> But it’s more of a conversation about the fact that we all struggle with self-love, and I don’t think any young people have figured that out yet.”<\/p>\n
