The legendary 90s show ‘Yellow Humor’, whose original Japanese title translates as ‘Takeshi’s Castle’, will return to screens in 2023. This has been confirmed by Amazon Prime Video, which will broadcast a remake of the comedy show on its streaming platform.<\/strong><\/p>\n

‘Humor amarillo’ was first broadcast in Spain on Telecinco between 1990 and 1995. It was a quiz show in which a hundred or so contestants had to pass different physical tests until they reached Takeshi’s castle, where they finally faced the samurai. Now Prime Video<\/a><\/strong> has announced its intention to expand its offerings in Japan <\/a><\/strong>and has just unveiled a slate of new original Japanese shows such as ‘Yellow Humour’.<\/p>\n

“We are very focused on investing in the best Japanese talent to deliver the highest quality content for our Prime Video customers in Japan,”<\/strong><\/em> said Erika North, head of Amazon Studios’ original formats in the Pacific part of Asia. “We believe that putting the spotlight on the best stories from Japanese creators will not only excite our Japanese viewers, but also audiences around the world”.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n
