{"id":285468,"date":"2022-06-08T14:25:01","date_gmt":"2022-06-08T12:25:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/highxtar.com\/?p=285468"},"modified":"2022-06-08T14:25:01","modified_gmt":"2022-06-08T12:25:01","slug":"tom-hanks-plays-geppetto-in-the-remake-of-pinocchio","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/highxtar.com\/en\/tom-hanks-plays-geppetto-in-the-remake-of-pinocchio\/","title":{"rendered":"Tom Hanks plays Geppetto in the remake of &#8220;Pinocchio&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Disney+ has released the first official trailer for its new live-action remake of Pinocchio in which actor Tom Hanks plays Geppetto.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"Pinocchio | Teaser Trailer | Disney+\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/2vNVGZGlUok?start=1&#038;feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s been more than 80 years since &#8216;<strong>Pinocchio&#8217;<\/strong>, the 1940 film that became the first animated film to win two <strong>Oscars: Best Song and Best Original Score.<\/strong> In 2020 a new version of the classic story <strong>&#8216;Pinocchio&#8217; directed by Mateo Garrone<\/strong> and starring <strong>Roberto Benigni as Geppetto<\/strong> was released, and this year <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/highxtar.com\/los-lanzamientos-de-netflix-para-junio-de-2022\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Netflix<\/a><\/strong> will release an adaptation directed by <strong>Guillermo Del Toro.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The &#8216;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=2vNVGZGlUok&amp;t=1s\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pinocchio<\/a><\/strong>&#8216; remake will be in stop motion set in 1930s Italy and will contain a political message. This version will feature the voices of <em><strong>Ewan McGregor (Jiminy Cricket), David Bradley (Geppetto) and newcomer Gregory Mann (Pinocchio)<\/strong><\/em>. Also starring are<em><strong> Finn Wolfhard, Cate Blanchett, John Turturro, Ron Perlman, Tim Blake Nelson, Burn Gorman, Christoph Waltz and Tilda Swinton.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Pinocchio will premiere on Disney+ on 8 September.
