The 29th edition of the music, creativity and technology festival marked the return of S\u00f3nar to the large format and a greater opening of S\u00f3nar+D to the general public.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

S\u00f3nar 2022<\/strong> has presented more than 180 activities with hundreds of artists and speakers; and has combined world premieres, exclusive concerts, long-awaited returns of great stars to the stage and a wide representation of the most relevant global, national and local talent of the moment.<\/p>\n

Similarly, there was also a large number of hybrid presentations between conference and show, with a high audiovisual component, talks and Q&A sessions.<\/p>\n

The festival<\/strong><\/a> has brought together more than 122,000 attendees. 44,000<\/strong> for S\u00f3nar by Day<\/strong> and 78,000<\/strong> for S\u00f3nar by Night<\/strong>. Some 70% of the audience was national, while the remaining 30% came from all over the world.<\/p>\n

S\u00f3nar Barcelona<\/strong> is already on the road to its 30th anniversary, which will be held on 15, 16 and 17 June<\/strong> 2023<\/strong>. This Wednesday 22<\/strong> June<\/strong> at 12:00<\/strong>, a pre-sale of passes and accreditations will be available at a special price starting at \u20ac115 and \u20ac150, respectively. The public will be able to per-register for this pre-sale from this very morning.<\/p>\n

The festival has opted for the return of established electronic music groups: The Blaze<\/strong>, Moderat<\/strong> and the long-awaited spectacular audiovisual show by The<\/strong> Chemical Brothers<\/strong>. The biggest names in popular music in our country: C.<\/strong> Tangana<\/strong> and Nathy Peluso<\/strong> and shows prepared especially for the festival: Arca<\/strong>, Ni\u00f1o de Elche + Yila + Banda “La Valenciana”<\/strong>, Maria Arnal i Marcel Bag\u00e9s<\/strong> present Hiperutopia<\/em>, Samantha Hudson<\/strong>: ‘Liquidaci\u00f3n Total Por Cierre’<\/em>, Tarta Relena, Rojuu,<\/strong> Polo & Pan<\/strong>, Nu Genea Live Band<\/strong> and ‘Uncompressed’<\/em>, presented by Patreon<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The world’s biggest dancefloor was once again buzzing with clubbing heroes such as Richie Hawtin<\/strong>, ANNA & Maotik<\/strong>, Jennifer<\/strong> Cardini b2b Perel<\/strong>, Jayda G<\/strong> or Octo Octa b2b Eris Drew<\/strong>, while waiting for the party to continue with Charlotte de Witte<\/strong>, Eric Prydz<\/strong>, Reinier Zonneveld<\/strong>, Helena<\/strong> Hauff, Anfisa Letyago <\/strong>and more.<\/p>\n

S\u00f3nar 2022<\/strong> has also vindicated its intergenerational character, with the sounds of an increasingly near future such as Morad<\/strong>, Ms<\/strong> Nina<\/strong>, Simona<\/strong>, Juicy<\/strong> Bae<\/strong>, Yugen<\/strong> Kala<\/strong>, Chico<\/strong> Blanco<\/strong>, GAZZI<\/strong>, Depresi\u00f3n<\/strong> Sonora<\/strong>, mori + rusowsky<\/strong> and El<\/strong> Bobe<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Since this edition, S\u00f3nar+D<\/strong> is increasingly integrated into S\u00f3nar by Day<\/strong> and allows all attendees to discover the new spaces SonarM\u00e0tica<\/strong> by<\/strong> Tezos<\/strong> and Sonar\u00c1gora<\/strong>; as well as the spectacular Stage+D<\/strong>, where a multitude of activities were held between the conference and the performance.<\/p>\n

The new ecosystems born in the Web3<\/strong>, the creative, industrial, political and ethical challenges facing us in Artificial Intelligence (AI)<\/strong>, the studies and advances in Acoustic Ecology<\/strong> and the work on Ecology<\/strong> and Fiction<\/strong> were the four axes around which the conversation revolved between the more than 60 powerful people present at this edition.<\/p>\n

In addition, SonarExtra<\/strong> has proposed a tour through the heart of Barcelona during this week that has allowed the public to immerse themselves in ‘Hyperorgan’, S\u00f3nar’s sound experience with the master organ builder Albert Blancafort, the technological brief Santi Vilanova<\/strong>, from Playmodes<\/strong>, and the Berlin composers gamut<\/strong> inc<\/strong> at Palau G\u00fcell<\/strong>; Sondear<\/em> and ‘Museum of Sound’<\/em> by Mika Vainio<\/strong> at the Fundaci\u00f3 Antoni T\u00e0pies<\/strong>; and ‘Transient’<\/em> by Quayola<\/strong>, presented by ME by Meli\u00e1<\/strong> at the Hotel ME Barcelona<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n
