The Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) has just announced the official list of nominees and award winners for this year’s edition.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Among the most important categories at the ceremony is American Menswear Designer of the Year<\/strong>, for which Jerry Lorenzo<\/strong> (Fear of God); Emily Bode Aujla<\/strong> (Bode); Mike Amiri<\/strong> (Amiri); Thom Browne<\/strong> and Willy Chavarria<\/strong> are in the running.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Peter Do<\/strong>, Christopher John Rogers<\/strong>, LaQuan Smith<\/strong>, Gabriela<\/strong> Hearst<\/strong> and Catherine Holstein<\/strong> (KHAITE) make up the list of nominees for American Womenswear Designer of the Year<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Also of note is the Emerging American Designer of the Year<\/strong> award, which features Lauren Harwell Godfrey<\/strong> (Harwell Godfrey); Elena Velez<\/strong>; Bach Mai<\/strong>; Carly Mark<\/strong> (Puppets and Puppets) and Colm Dillane<\/strong> (KidSuper).<\/p>\n

Finally, Telfar Clemens<\/strong> (Telfar); Raul Lopez<\/strong> (LUAR); Stuart Vevers<\/strong> (Coach) Aurora James<\/strong> (Brother Vellies) and Brandon Blackwood<\/strong> are up for the American Accessory Designer of the Year<\/strong> award.<\/p>\n

Virgil Abloh<\/strong><\/a> will posthumously receive the Board of Trustees Award<\/strong>, while Lenny Kravitz<\/strong> will be recognised as this year’s fashion icon.<\/p>\n
