Collaborations between H&M and well-known luxury brands have become a classic for the brand. Every year, the Swedish brand launches a collection hand in hand with luxury brands such as Kenzo, Moschino and Balmain. This year, Mugler has been the brand chosen for this ambitious collaboration.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This collaboration seems to make even more sense considering that just over a year ago, in January 2022, the iconic designer who founded the house, Thierry Mugler, passed away. Thus, the collection mixes new pieces and emblematic Mugler looks with new versions of the brand’s archive pieces that reflect the minimalist and avant-garde style of the brand.<\/p>\n

Amaarae, Shygirl, Eartheater and Arca worked with producer Ashland Mines to create an exclusive anthem for the campaign: a reinvented version of Stardust’s 1998 hit “Music Sounds Better with You”. The star-studded music video, starring a glittering cast of artists and friends of the brand, was directed by Torso and styled by Haley Wollens.<\/p>\n

“We are proud to celebrate the legacy of Manfred Thierry Mugler with this collection,”<\/strong><\/em> says Ann-Sofie Johansson, creative advisor at H&M. “We were all honoured to meet Manfred and it was very special that he was involved in the early stages of the project together with Casey and the house of Mugler. Casey has done a fantastic job of paying homage to the history and archive, while making a totally contemporary collection. Under his direction, Mugler has become one of the most innovative and interesting houses on the fashion scene today”.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

“It was clear to me that this collection had to be truly Mugler,”<\/strong><\/em> said Cadwallader. “The details and quality of each piece had to be exactly as we make them and I wanted to convey the energy of Mugler, which has always been about clothes that allow for personal liberation. With Mugler, you can be many different versions of yourself”.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n
