But now things have changed. Today, products from Japan not only reach us at lightning speed thanks to a globalized world, but otaku culture is admired and promoted in sectors such as television, music and cinema, which lay the foundations of world culture.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-359165\" src=\"https:\/\/highxtar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/highxtar-otaku-cool-kids-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"682\" srcset=\"https:\/\/highxtar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/highxtar-otaku-cool-kids-1.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/highxtar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/highxtar-otaku-cool-kids-1-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/highxtar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/highxtar-otaku-cool-kids-1-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/highxtar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/highxtar-otaku-cool-kids-1-973x648.jpg 973w, https:\/\/highxtar.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/highxtar-otaku-cool-kids-1-508x338.jpg 508w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>With the opening of the Japanese market to the Western world, we have been able to get to know the<strong> &#8220;otaku&#8221;<\/strong> better. A reviled view of them has changed to a more normalized one, in line with the current status quo. The Internet also gives us the possibility of getting closer to other cultures, making it easier to normalize other ways of living.<\/p>\n<p>The otakus would be the <strong>&#8220;geeks&#8221; of Japanese culture<\/strong>. They are not only lovers of <strong>anime, manga or cosplay. <\/strong>They go a step further and really live all that as if it were their own world. These geeks, with social networks and the constant improvement of algorithms in them, have managed to find people and communities with similar tastes around the globe. They have appropriated the marginalized and reviled term to proudly carry the <strong>&#8220;otaku&#8221; emotion.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The most famous have removed the stigma they may have had. When they begin to appropriate cultural symbols that were marginal until now, it means that we are facing a new paradigm in which the exception is the norm. Their members have become ambassadors of all luxury brands in the market. On Halloween she surprised with a cosplay of <strong>Asuka from Evangelion<\/strong>, with her boyfriend Rauw dressed as Shinji. The<strong> &#8216;Motomami&#8217;<\/strong> always incorporates otaku styles in her daily life. Songs like <strong>&#8220;Hentai&#8221;<\/strong> or <strong>&#8220;Sakura&#8221;<\/strong> make a nod to her love for the Japanese country. She is not the only one. <strong>Dua Lipa<\/strong>, released a few months ago the video clip of <strong>&#8216;Levitating&#8217;,<\/strong> which drinks directly from the anime of the 90s as Sailor Moon. Even the Puerto Rican rapper <strong>Bad Bunny<\/strong> dares to sing in Japanese at the end of his song<strong> &#8216;Yonaguni&#8217;<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"Dua Lipa - Levitating (Official Animated Music Video)\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/N000qglmmY0?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Are we facing a fetishization of the Asian? Probably. Even luxury brands are appropriating anime to turn it into a trend and take it out of its marginality. Gucci x Doraemon, Balmain x Pokemon\u2026 <a href=\"https:\/\/highxtar.com\/loewe-and-studio-ghiblis-latest-collaboration-is-based-on-howls-moving-castle\/?lang=en\"><b>Loewe<\/b><\/a> was recently inspired by the 2004 Japanese animated film <strong>The Walking Castle <\/strong>for its new collection. <a href=\"https:\/\/highxtar.com\/jimmy-choo-pays-tribute-to-pretty-guardian-sailor-moon-for-its-30th-anniversary\/?lang=en\"><strong>S<\/strong><b>ailor Moon inspires Jimmy Choo<\/b><\/a> for a line of shoes and accessories that has gone absolutely viral on networks.
