The Met Gala 2023, the most anticipated fashion event of the year, is just a few days away. Its red carpet promises to be a tribute to Karl Lagerfeld and this time Pen\u00e9lope Cruz will be one of the main protagonists.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Fashion’s biggest night is just around the corner. The gala organised by the MET museum in New York is a big event that the most representative figures of the industry never miss. We tell you everything we know so far about the edition that will be held in a few months and which will pay tribute to the late designer, Karl Lagerfeld.<\/p>\n

When is it?<\/h1>\n

The date of the Met Gala 2023 ceremony is 1 May 2023. It is a classic date associated with the event’s quests, but there is no room for doubt because its date is fixed: as the name of the documentary itself, The First Monday in May, states, it takes place every first Monday in May.<\/p>\n

Where is it?<\/h1>\n

The Met Gala is held at the Metropolitan Museum in New York. First the red carpet and then the dinner, which is held in the Temple of Dendur, the Egyptian monument that houses the New York centre.<\/p>\n

Who will be the hosts?<\/h1>\n

In addition to the guests, whose names we probably won’t know until the date, the co-hosts make up one of the most interesting lists of the event. Each year the Met Gala has a few in particular, and in 2023 Pen\u00e9lope Cruz will be one of them: the Spanish actress (the first national representative in this capacity at the Met Gala) will be joined by Roger Federer, Dua Lipa and Michaela Coel.<\/p>\n

Will the Kardashians be invited?<\/h1>\n

Who knows! In March, Page Six reported that the Kardashians would not be invited. Weeks later, news broke that the famous family might attend. But don’t expect to see the whole Kardashian-Jenner clan there.<\/p>\n

What will be the theme?<\/h1>\n

Karl Lagerfeld will be the absolute theme of the MET Gala 2023: as we mentioned a few months ago, this is a bit of a paradox in itself. The former creative director of Chanel, who passed away about three years ago, was not at all fond of exhibitions, let alone retrospectives. The exhibition is called Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty, following the theory of aesthetics described by William Hogarth in his 1753 book Analysis of Beauty.<\/p>\n
