The Le Mans endurance race, one of the most iconic motorsport competitions, inspires APC<\/a> for its Pre-Fall 2023 collection. Specifically, the archives of the 50th anniversary of the 1973 Le Mans race serve as the starting point for the redesign of its most iconic garments, from fitted tops to oversized trousers. The collection is a clear homage to Liane Engeman, a Dutch racer born in the 1940s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some of the garments revive the graphic universe of the R5, a legendary French racing car, and the stripes typical of automotive clothing are also very present. Another highlight are the logos embroidered on the items, imitating those of the racing sponsors. The collection is a contemporary reinterpretation of the silhouettes of the era, characterised by fitted volumes at the top and more fluid pieces at the bottom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
