Pharrell will present his first collection as creative director of men’s fashion for Louis Vuitton on June 20, and a few days before that he has given us a sneak preview in a campaign starring Rihanna.<\/h2>\n\n\n

Pharrell has shared a post on Instagram in which he appears standing in front of an oversized billboard in Paris. In the campaign photo we can see Rihanna with her pregnant belly wearing a pixelated black leather coat buttoned with just a few buttons, and some other iconic LV silhouettes in bright colors. In the caption of the post, Pharrel writes “LOUIS VUITTON MEN Spring-Summer 2024.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The duo’s collaboration is not a novelty; Rihanna had already collaborated with Pharrell on several occasions within the music world, such as with his song “Lemon” in 2017, and a few years later on the artist’s own album. Now, the relationship between the two transcends music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There is growing anticipation about what Pharrell’s vision will offer the fashion house, and the ongoing debate about whether celebrity creative director appointments could be more negative than positive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
