Shazam has added a feature that will allow users to identify a song in apps such as YouTube, Instagram and TikTok.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Apple has updated the Shazam app to be able to identify songs discovered in other apps. This means that if a user hears an unfamiliar song on YouTube, TikTok and Instagram, they can just open Shazam, press the blue button and go back to the other app to find out what it is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Until now, Shazam was certainly limited in that respect. If the user wanted to recognise a song located on one of these social networks through the microphones of his iPhone, he had to recognise the song externally. That is, playing the video on another mobile, on the TV or on a laptop, as switching between apps was not an option.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Apple has described how Shazam will now be able to detect music from these social networks. First, the user must be on the chosen platform (i.e. TikTok<\/a>, YouTube or Instagram). Then, they have to go to Shazam and press the blue record button. Once done, he or she just has to go back to the social network in question to detect these songs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
