For the creative director, each collection is a blank piece of paper on which to reflect on the relationship between clothing, the human body and fashion. In her latest proposal, Chiuri<\/a><\/strong><\/strong> worked on this reflection while delving into the history of French style to pay tribute to three important cultural figures: Catherine Dior<\/strong>, \u00c9dith Piaf<\/strong> and Juliette Gr\u00e9co<\/strong>. Each of these unique protagonists managed to subvert the feminine stereotypes implanted in post-war society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dior’s AW23-24<\/a><\/strong> collection thus maintained the feminist spirit of these figures by adopting a strong yet fragile character, where historic floral motifs were reimagined and primary colours took centre stage. Tartan fabrics adorned coats, jackets and straight skirts, while poplin was at its most powerful thanks to metallic threads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
