The FW23 ‘Twilight Reverie<\/strong>‘ show became, at the time, one of Wales Bonner<\/strong>‘s most opulent and established shows. A show in which he ascended to a higher plane by reflecting his British and Jamaican cultural influences with which he explores the representations of sexuality and the identity of black men.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The designer now offers, within the menswear and womenswear framework, fluid garments with which to update the autumn closet through a dual exploration of opposites and\/or eclectic references that converge between tailoring, preppy aesthetics and streetwear. In this sense, the tailoring comes in the form of a double-breasted blazer and matching wide pants in “ivory” color, cut in a textured cotton and viscose blend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Almost at the other end of the spectrum, the Motif jersey in off-white and navy blue has sophisticated collegiate overtones, as do the ‘Kola’ tracksuit, black and yellow ribbed knit top and ‘City’ polo enhanced with a high-end color palette and textile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As for the womenswear offer, we can see how Bonner goes even deeper into the soccer field to present an outfit dressed in coordinated sets with tops and tracksuit bottoms. A collection that is completed by a range of brooches and necklaces handmade in Ghana with recycled glass beads, clear Swarovski crystals and emeralds, Tiger Eye disc beads and gold-plated brass.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
