For this reason, each milestone has a particularly relevant meaning. In this sense, it is worth mentioning the nominations for the MTV Video Music Awards 2023 in which women have made a full house in the Artist of the Year category.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Created in 1984, the awards honour the best of the music industry on an annual basis, with a particular focus on the field of music videos. For the first time since the awards organisation introduced the Artist of the Year category, all of the nominees for the category are women: Beyonc\u00e9, Doja Cat, Karol G<\/a><\/strong>, Nicki Minaj, Shakira and Taylor Swift. Taylor Swift leads the nominations for the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards. The pop diva received seven nominations for the music video for “Anti-Hero” and one in the artist of the year category, followed by SZA, who has six.
