Its leading lady, Margot Robbie, will receive around $50 million, including her salary and box office bonuses.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Gerwig is also expected to receive substantial bonuses due to the film&#8217;s success. Just one month after its release, &#8216;Barbie&#8217; continues to generate talk and has grossed $526.3 million at the domestic box office and $657.6 million internationally, totaling approximately $1.18 billion. It is currently the highest-grossing live-action film directed by a woman globally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The film is produced by LuckyChap Entertainment, the film production company founded by Robbie in 2014 with her husband Tom Ackerley, and friends Josey McNamara and Sophia Kerr. The company&#8217;s primary goal has been to give voice to women&#8217;s stories on screen and support female creators behind the scenes.
