This is the first time the German has taken to the catwalk since she closed Versace’s spring 2018 runway show alongside iconic 90s supermodels Carla Bruni, Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford and Helena Christensen.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Who else could bring Claudia Schiffer back to the catwalk? Without a doubt, Donatella Versace. The supermodel has a very close relationship with the brand’s creative director and only returns to the catwalk if it is with her second family: Versace<\/a><\/strong>. This is not the first time that the model has surprised us after so many years without modelling, as in 2018 she closed Versace’s SS18 show alongside Carla Bruni, Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford and Helena Christensen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Claudia Schiffer’s return to the catwalk comes perfectly in sync with the cultural resurgence of supermodels: “It’s been wonderful to see the younger generation embrace what we did,” <\/em><\/strong>the it girl tells Vogue. “Something I loved about the era was that, beyond modelling and fashion, we were able to champion feminine ambition and we were symbols of self-made success.”<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This time, Versace decided to go back to its archives for SS24, offering pieces inspired by the brand’s sixties style. The collection is coded by Twiggy, as A-line dresses and two-piece ensembles dominated the runway. From pastel shades, to bouffant hair, flared skirts, metallics, puffed sleeves and crochets, Versace SS24 is clearly retro-inspired.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
