We don’t want to get dramatic, but 2023 is making us lose faith in love: many celebrity couples we thought were consolidated are breaking up.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If Shakira and Piqu\u00e9<\/a>‘s controversial breakup was the most talked about of 2022, Rosal\u00eda and Rauw’s has been the one of 2023, leaving us with the best reactions on social networks- . Although many have stopped believing in love after learning about this breakup, wait because there are some more that have surprised us as Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez, Dominic Fike and Hunter Schafer, Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott, Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner, Britney Spears and Sam Ashgari, Leonardo DiCaprio and Camila Morrone and much more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Breakup expert and founder of Renew Breakup Bootcamp, Amy Chan, has some theories as to why there have been so many breakups this past season. “The time period leading up to the holidays can see a spike in breakups. Holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas involve a lot of family and social gatherings,” which can trigger underlying thoughts that were once ignored.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For celebrities, there is an added strain on the relationship because of their lifestyle, Chan reports. “When it comes to celebrity breakups, it’s important to remember that these people are often productised, branded and sold.” No matter how much you love your partner, “there are downsides” for celebrities “as they can feel an external pressure and sense of living for the audience that can affect the dynamics of the relationship”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chan also suspects that the avoidance of attachment is causing many break-ups. Identifying the different types of attachment has been a recurring theme in recent years. According to Chan, this translates into being more alert “to someone getting too close, smothering you, controlling you or taking away your freedom and autonomy\u2026. This style of attachment can wreak havoc on relationship satisfaction, leading to more break-ups and divorces”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rosal\u00eda and Rauw Alejandro<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The most iconic artist couple of the moment put an end to their relationship. Sources from their entourage assured that both agreed to end their engagement despite the love and respect that existed between them.<\/p>\n\n\n

Bella Hadid and Marc Kalman<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

“They were very much in love, but the relationship eventually ran its own course and they decided to call it quits,” a source said of their break-up, calling it “amicable”.<\/p>\n\n\n
