His identity has never been made public, but now Banksy is facing a serious problem that could reveal who he is. Bookmakers are already picking up on this and are placing bets to discover the identity of the enigmatic artist.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We have all heard of Banksy<\/a>, one of the most famous graffiti artists in history. What has transcended the world around him is the lack of knowledge and mystery surrounding this brilliant and controversial artist. His identity has never been made public, but now the artist is facing a serious problem that could undermine his great value and appeal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Andrew Gallagher has filed a defamation suit in the High Court in London against Robin Gunningham, who could be one of the possible identities of the world’s most famous graffiti artist. In addition, the claim is also against Banksy Pest Control Ltd, the company that is in charge of selling his works.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The current dispute between Andrew Gallagher and the famous Banksy started in November 2022. The Bristol artist uploaded a post to Instagram in which he allegedly included defamatory words referring to him and his company. As a result, he is now seeking compensation of around \u20ac1.5 million in damages and an injunction to prevent future defamation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Several sports betting websites<\/a> are reportedly accepting bets on the true identity of the anonymous street artist Banksy. While gambling sites have previously tried to take advantage of all the speculation about the enigmatic artist’s identity in the past for financial reward, due to this lawsuit they appear to be closer than ever.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Taking advantage of the Queen’s Bench Division High Court claim, BetOnline<\/a>, an online poker and gaming platform, is placing bets under these names: “Gallagher win case vs Pest Control by 1 June” and “Robin Gunningham confirmed as Bansky by 1 June”, Robin Gunningham is a Bristol man previously believed to be Banksy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
