Following the end of its partnership with Ye in October 2022, adidas had decided to put leftover YEEZY products on sale with a portion of the proceeds going to “organizations working to combat discrimination and hatred, including racism and anti-Semitism”.<\/h2>\n\n\n

Now, the executive board has decided to put on hold the YEEZY<\/strong> releases that were scheduled for November. It is unclear why this decision was made, but it could be related to the current political climate or the backlash CEO Bj\u00f8rn Gulden faced when he shared his thoughts on Ye.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A recently released internal adidas<\/strong> memo said, “As a brand we will not be doing a new launch for the remainder of the year, both for our internal e-com and retail, as well as wholesale.” It added: “We will not be shipping any new stock, this direction was given at the board level.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Furthermore, the note does not refer to YEEZYs by name, instead calling the release “Aurora 3.” Sources note that “Aurora” is a codename used by adidas to refer to YEEZY products, with “Aurora 1” and “Aurora 2” released in May and August.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
