For the fourth time, the iconic purveyor of timeless American style and the Japanese apparel company and retailer have teamed up for a special capsule collection. Following in the wake of the Super Wide garments from their previous collaboration, Levi’s\u00ae and BEAMS once again pay homage to the Levi’s\u00ae heritage, with bold, flared new garments derived from classic styles and washes. To create the Levi’s\u00ae x BEAMS Super Wide V2 collection, they took inspiration from subtle, simple and elegant garments from 1944.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Levi’s\u00ae x BEAMS Super Wide V2 collection includes a Super Wide V2 Type I Trucker, a Super Wide V2 Jean and a Graphic Tee. Inspired by the 1944 Levi’s\u00ae denim jacket and made from heavyweight 16 oz. denim with a custom Orange Tick selvedge, the Super Wide V2 Type I Trucker features a custom Orange Tick selvedge. with custom Orange Tick selvage, the Super Wide V2 Type I Trucker features just four tabs, a super-wide custom leather back patch, which doubles the width of the iconic Two-Horse Pull patch, and a BEAMS-exclusive tongue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For a head-to-toe look, the Super Wide V2 Type I Trucker pairs perfectly with the Levi’s\u00ae x BEAMS Super Wide V2 Jean, inspired by the 1944 501\u00ae. Also made from Orange Tick selvedge denim developed exclusively for BEAMS, it features the exclusive BEAMS tongue and custom super wide leather back patch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Both the Super Wide V2 Type I Trucker and the Jean are available in a lighter vintage wash and a darker lightening wash, the latter exclusive to BEAMS. The collection is completed by the white Graphic Tee. Completely white on the front, the back of the tee features co-branded graphic prints and a screen-printed “stitched” bow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
With a large cast of 9 models, the Levi’s\u00ae x BEAMS Super Wide V2 campaign evokes images of traditional Japanese landscapes – including bamboo forests and cobblestone pavement – juxtaposed against a studio backdrop. Although the two landscapes do not intersect, the overlapping elements represent a familiar but unfamiliar Japan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
