This is Dr. Martens<\/strong>‘ new progressive category, in which Rick Owens<\/strong> is the first collaborator, building new structures on the exaggerated DMXL<\/strong> sole of the 14XX Beta Pack<\/strong>, launched in December 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This time both parties are building on the foundations they have been building since their first meeting over three years ago, where the British footwear brand’s sculptural potential is combined with the acclaimed designer’s aesthetic codes. This translates into a new DMXL<\/strong> sole made from a lightweight EVA composite material with durable PVC capsules.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 1460 DMXL Megalace<\/strong> boot’s new capsule is built on it, with exaggerated contrasts and an oversized tongue. It is made from supple Lunar leather that contrasts with the structure of the boot, and is fastened with an iconic lace-up design and silver hardware. The laces extend to the heel loop, where DM’s<\/strong> <\/a>lettering appears.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

London-based Turkish performer and DJ Sissy Misfit<\/strong> adds an extra touch to the collaboration by starring in the campaign and bringing to life this sexy and daring silhouette, which will go on sale on 8 February<\/strong> via drmartens.com<\/a><\/strong> and rickowens.eu<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
