Louis Vuitton has unveiled its new creation A Perfume Atlas. This book, the first to feature Jacques Cavallier-Belletrud, Louis Vuitton’s Master Perfumer, offers an unprecedented exploration of the raw materials that inspire the house’s fragrances. The book invites you to accompany the creator on his quest for exceptional ingredients across the globe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The narrator is Lionel Paill\u00e8s, an award-winning author with extensive experience in perfumery, and the images are by the extraordinary illustrator Aurore de la Morinerie. Both embark on a journey that opens the door to a sensory world of discovery. In addition, S\u00e9bastien Zanella’s photographs offer a journalistic dimension to this journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Perfume Atlas is an unusual insight into the intricacies of Jacques Cavallier-Belletrud’s savoir-faire, immersing readers in the mysteries of the most sought-after ingredients of the Master Perfumer’s creations and revealing the secrets of their harvesting, extraction, distillation and blending through more than 200 images of watercolour paintings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each page evokes a fascinating world in a sensory journey through the five continents and the treasures of each season. The May Rose of Grass, the lute notes of the Assam of Bagladesh, the bergamot of Calabria\u2026 Each ingredient opens the door to a distant horizon, inviting the reader to enter it with its evocative energy and the charm of an immemorial folklore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
