The American sludge metal<\/em> band that put the spotlight on Seattle during the 1980s stars in the label’s latest graphic collection.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Melvins<\/strong>, originally from Montesano<\/strong> (Washington), was formed in 1983 by Buzz Osborne<\/strong>, Matt Lukin<\/strong> and Mike Dillard<\/strong> with the aim of evolving the grunge sound of the decade and blazing a new trail for later bands. Even Nirvana<\/strong> bassist Kris Novoselic<\/strong> once admitted that “every Seattle band of the late ’80s owes something to the Melvins”<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s no wonder that forty years later, Supreme<\/strong> has decided to pay homage to their legacy with their latest capsule collection, where logos, iconography and characters from the albums take over the exclusive selection of garments. This includes a BDU jacket, a polo shirt, a hoodie, several T-shirts and caps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The collection will go on sale on 9 May<\/strong> via supreme.com<\/a><\/strong> and will also be available in the New York<\/strong> brand’s physical shops.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
