Oval-shaped faces can generally wear almost anything, as they tend to be harmonious features that suit any style. Some of the most prominent are the sharp, the lob, the microbob with fringes or the mullet, but the list can be endless.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Paul Tudor, director and stylist at the David K\u00fcnzle Fuencarral salon, points out his favourite cuts for oval faces: \u2018A lob cut is ideal, it’s slightly longer than the classic bob, always at collarbone height or even longer. It’s very flattering and versatile, with the hair almost in one piece. Also the microbob with fringes, which is a very feminine cut with a lot of personality, which never goes beyond the jaw and can be found in an infinite number of textures and shapes. Another would be the fringe below the eyebrows in the shape of a curtain\u2019.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her oval face makes her very adaptable and cuts and hairstyles almost always suit her: \u2018Or in XXL manes, which are always spectacular, especially if they are parted from the chin downwards. Two cuts that also look great on her are the blunt bob, which is halfway down the neck, straight and slightly longer at the front and shorter at the back, and the mullet cut, discreet and modern, which doesn’t require any styling work. If you fancy very short hair, this is perfect\u2019.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ana Soriano, stylist at the same centre, advises if you have an oval face to avoid very long hair without movement: \u2018And flat hairstyles without mobility such as waves, very short layers as the movement should be from the chin, and also long fringes. The hair should always be very soft, not thinned out or too thinning\u2019.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another bob cut to highlight is the sharp cut: \u2018It consists of creating shorter sections inside and, as you go up, increasing the length by a few millimetres, texturising if necessary and, to finish, slightly combing the ends inwards\u2019<\/strong><\/em> – explains Adriana P\u00e9rez, director of Sonia Atanes Hair Beauty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adriana also adds the wob cut, a mix of wavy and bob: \u2018It’s feminine and sensual, with a middle or side parting. It is particularly suited to women with an oval face who need volume on the sides, from the chin to the chin. Although it should not go beyond the shoulders, the back part of the hair can be varied up to the hairline. It also suits balayage, as it adds light, movement and personality, in particular caramel and warm tones’.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
