Levi Strauss has dismissed its lawsuit against Brunello Cucinelli. The US denim giant sued Italian luxury fashion company Brunello Cucinelli in January for marketing garments with rectangular pocket labels similar to those Levi’s has had on file since 1938.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The settlement ending the complaint was confirmed by Levi Strauss after the company notified a federal judge in Oakland, California, on Tuesday that it was dismissing the case with prejudice, meaning it cannot be refiled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The complaint had been filed in January in federal court in San Francisco along with fourteen photographs of Brunello Cucinelli clothing that exemplify the US giant’s alleged trademark plagiarism. Levi’s said at the time that consumers can become confused, which can cause its company \u2018incalculable and irreparable harm\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
