The anthropomorphic form of ‘I only know what I have seen’ <\/em><\/strong>simulates both a figurative and abstract work, and has been created through the intrinsic use of thousands of individual ceramic profusions. These small-sized spikes make up five interlocking pieces, which have been combined with an almost architectural intent and precision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Andr\u00e9s Anza won the prestigious<\/strong> award<\/strong><\/a> after being selected from among 30 finalists by an exquisite jury composed of leading figures from the worlds of design, architecture, journalism, criticism and museum curatorship. Members included Magdalene Odundo<\/strong>, Minsuk Cho<\/strong>, Olivier<\/strong> Gabet<\/strong> and Abraham Thomas<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, three special awards were given to Miki Asai<\/strong> (Japan) for ‘Still Life’<\/em>; Emmanuel Boos<\/strong> (France) for ‘Coffee Table Cosme un lego’<\/em>; and Heechan Kim<\/strong> ‘#16’<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
