PinkPantheress<\/strong>, one of the most acclaimed artists of the last year, has made her mark in the music industry with tracks such as \u2018Boy’s a liar\u2019 <\/em>with Ice Spice<\/strong> and \u2018Nice to meet you\u2019 <\/em>in collaboration with Central Cee<\/strong>. Her latest single, ‘Turn it up’<\/em><\/strong><\/a> was released last Friday and is inspired by Selena<\/strong>‘s hit \u2018Dreaming of You\u2019<\/em>, and tells the love story between a woman named Maria and an anonymous man.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a recent interview with ABC News<\/strong>, the young Brit responded to the oft-repeated question of why her songs are so short, to which she replied firmly that “a song doesn’t need to be longer than two and a half minutes. We don’t need to repeat a verse. We don’t need to have a bridge. We don’t need another long one”<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moreover, she confesses that she came to this conclusion after experimenting with short songs and understanding this theory that she now defends. Her longest track so far is \u2018Capable\u2019<\/em>, at 3 minutes and 43 seconds, something very unusual for her, as if we compare the singles included in her mixtape \u2018To Hell With It\u2019<\/strong><\/em> only three out of ten are longer than two minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
