A natural and enveloping design<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Mondrian<\/strong>‘s artistic ritual can be experienced in the lobby through its interior design by Beades Architects and Cuarto Interior, which dilutes nature, art and design in the same work. A large installation with pieces on its walls curated by the London collective Gone Rogue such as ‘ASH’, by Corine van Voorbergen, and Hannah Nijsten’s representation of the sea entitled ‘Ocean View’.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beyond the communal spaces, design and contemporary art also permeate the 154 rooms<\/strong> of Mondrian, which have a minimalist-chic aesthetic. An identity that is represented by the furniture and a colour palette of cream and off-white tones that convey a warm and natural effect that encompasses the whole concept.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In its extensive rooms and luxury suites, handcrafted elements and furniture coexist with organic shapes that evoke the most rustic side of the island through materials such as wood, leather, linen or stone. Materials with which representative pieces of the hotel are sculpted, such as its natural leather headboards or wooden wardrobes, harmoniously integrated with its independent living rooms and large balconies with views of the forest or the Mediterranean.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vibrant gastronomic concepts<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This avant-garde hotel inaugurated the SS24 season on April 28th with two new projects that add to the extensive gastronomic constellation with which they redefine the culinary scene of Cala Llonga through concepts that emphasise ethical and sustainable food made with fresh, ecological and local ingredients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Within their eclectic culinary collection, they have a modern Japanese restaurant called Niko<\/strong>, designed by Cuarto Interior. It is orchestrated around a central sushi bar, where the chefs prepare their fish live on sight; an act that also symbolises their natural philosophy in sync with the environment. The menu features dishes made with produce from local farms and markets, which can be paired to perfection with a carefully selected selection of wines and sakes in an immersive and elegant setting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sonrojo<\/strong>, on the other hand, stands as a beachside retreat enlivened by the sounds of Balearic rhythms that blend with the beauty of Cala Llonga<\/strong>‘s coastline. Here you can sample an elevated interpretation of Spanish cuisine through fresh paellas or grilled fish; while The Perq – half coffee bar and half local Mondrian Ibiza market – brings a dose of metropolitan coffee culture to the bohemian island.<\/p>\n\n\n

Next to the swimming pool of its adjoining hotel HYDE<\/strong> -which belongs to the same group- is the Bungalow restaurant: an idyllic space where you can relax on its sun loungers, take a dip or savour its informal menu. The menu ranges from healthy snacks and appetizers to more elaborate options such as its “impossible” plant-based hamburger or its delicious lobster tagliatelle, along with a careful selection of sushi and sashimi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another of Mondrian’s gastronomic highlights is the Mexican restaurant Cuyo<\/strong>, which presents a locally sourced and sustainable menu that emerges from the ocean and is served at the table. It features dishes that fuse seafood with bold Mexican flavours such as aquachiles, ceviches, tacos and grilled dishes, which can be paired with mezcal or tequila-based cocktails made with seasonal fruit, as well as a list of natural and biodynamic wines.<\/p>\n\n\n

Other experiences of connection with the island<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

At Mondrian Ibiza, guests can also relax in the swimming pools just a few metres from the ocean and go into the sea with direct access to the beach and the crystal-clear waters of Cala Llonga<\/strong>. Beyond that, visitors can also explore its forests and the surrounding nature through excursions or hiking adventures guided by professionals, such as those proposed by Balearic Outdoor Adventures; with which to do sport while discovering and observing the surrounding coves, the sea and the local vegetation of the island.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
