David Lesur and Paul Tudor, the experts behind David K\u00fcnzle<\/strong><\/a> salons in Madrid, share their favourite haircuts for this season, designed not only to keep us cool, but also to look flawless.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pixie<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

It’s a gar\u00e7on that looks great with a more pronounced toupee on top or transforming it into a boyish style with longer contours. In short, it’s one of the most copied and iconic styles in existence: “It also suits all types of faces, although it’s better for women with a long neck and short stature, or a round face if you have volume at the back. To keep it perfect, you should visit the hairdresser’s for a maximum of four to six weeks. It’s best to style with a body jelly for fine hair and a styling milk (lait) for stronger hair, which we then fix with wax or hairspray,”<\/em><\/strong> says Paul Tudor of the David K\u00fcnzle Fuencarral salon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ideal for round, oval and square faces, it’s also perfect with all shades, very cool and highly mouldable, no matter how you style it. It’s also easy to style, just apply a non-drying cream to damp hair and that’s it, or treat it with other products such as gels or mascaras to achieve various effects: “Or you can play with the length of your fringe and give it daring, asymmetrical shapes that add originality and a certain cool air to your style. Just don’t cut it too short or you’ll have a problem handling it”<\/em><\/strong> – advises David Lesur, training manager at David K\u00fcnzle salons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Buzz<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

The buzz or military haircut is one of the coolest and most manageable haircuts for both men and women. It’s more common for men than for women, especially for 18-35 year olds: “It’s a clipper cut and is recommended for men\/women with thicker hair and a square face”<\/em><\/strong> – Paul Tudor tells us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Airy Bob <\/h1>\n\n\n\n

We are talking about a bob designed for fine hair, blondes and fine faces. The cut and volume effect is achieved with invisible and practically imperceptible layers, very thin layers from the root, intermingling long and short hair strands without them being barely visible. The cut conveys the sensation of a more defined and denser structure, with a lot of movement at the same time: “At the end, we use a very thick round brush and comb the hair in the opposite direction to the hairline, at which point the volume effect will be immediate” <\/em><\/strong>– explains David Lesur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Blunt<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

This cut is perfect if you want to sharpen an oval face but also for women with more pronounced and hard features if you leave it longer. It is very feminine, ideal for fine, straight hair because it adds volume. On a round, square or elongated face, it looks equally good short, long, parted, gradient, with straight or long fringes and diagonal, with or without a parting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And it brings out the neck: “It’s a cut that suits all types of faces and hair, from fine to thick, straight, curly\u2026 it’s still the traditional carr\u00e9 cut, two centimetres below the jaw, without layers but with the ends parted, which looks great with a razor if you can, but not if you have curly or frizzy hair”<\/em><\/strong> – comments David Lesur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
