Coach<\/strong><\/a> took over New York’s High Line for its Spring 2025 show, bringing the essence of the city to the runway in a fresh twist. We already know that if there’s one thing Coach has mastered, it’s transforming iconic NYC locations into unique backdrops for their shows (remember the New York Public Library and the Park Avenue Armory in past seasons). This time, the brand went all out, releasing its models around a towering red tree sculpture on the park’s elevated spur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2018My vision for Spring was to show real clothes in a real, relevant urban environment,\u2019 says Stuart Vevers, the creative mastermind behind the brand. \u2018We’re redesigning these pieces with the values of a new generation who are discovering them for the first time in mind.\u2019 <\/em><\/strong>Vevers has his radar on Gen Z; he proves it with a casting full of fresh faces, charms dangling from their bags, satin dresses for downtown nights out and trousers straight out of a skatepark.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2018This collection is very much about personality,\u2019 <\/em><\/strong>Vevers adds. \u2018We’ve taken archetypal pieces and transformed them to be unique to the wearer, playing with proportions, style and playful embellishments that break with the idea of traditional \u2018luxury\u2019. Today it’s the personal that counts the most\u2019.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The collection features graphic tees that explore NYC pop and rock’n’roll motifs, while other tops evoke the spirit of 40s souvenirs. All this under Vevers’ reinterpretations of his iconic recycled cardigans and dinner jacket coats. Coach’s (Re)Loved show also had a big moment, expanding its selection of restored and customised vintage pieces, with more jeans, moto skirts and aviator jackets made from post-consumer garments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Leather also played strong, with huge backpacks and clutches flirting with heart, star, lip and even dinosaur shapes, all topped off with Coach Frame hardware. And to cap off the madness, Coach’s new Soho trainers came adorned with resin stickers and charms that channel nostalgia with taxis, cassettes and other vintage nods. Clearly, Gen Z is back at the centre of the conversation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
