A massive event that brought together more than 2,000 people to pay tribute to this icon of motor racing.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

On Saturday we were on our way -riding a Golf, of course- to the Marug\u00e1n (Segovia) aerodrome to witness all the surprises that were going to happen during a very special day. More than 700 Golfs and 2,000 people of all ages and from all parts of Spain did the same as we did, forming a very diverse community that included car lovers, live music fans and adventure enthusiasts. And the event was a resounding success: in just 13 minutes the available places to attend the event were sold out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Throughout the day, we were able to listen to personal stories, many of them full of nostalgia and emotions, all of them united by the same icon: the Golf.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe Golf is the heart of Volkswagen. Today we gathered to celebrate the passion for this model and remember all those special moments that its owners have lived with it,\u201d explained Enrique Pifarr\u00e9, general manager of Volkswagen in Spain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But there was also time for the party, with very special hosts such as PIGNOISE, a musical reference in our country -as we grew up singing their songs at the top of our lungs- the iconic DJ Nano<\/a><\/strong>, who has an enviable collection of Golfs; Pepe and Vizio, who undoubtedly conquered the audience with their captivating sound; Dani del L\u00edo and DJ Ardiya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And for all those who wanted to remember this meeting forever, there was a tattoo studio at their disposal, where some did not hesitate to engrave the initials GTI or FOREVER 1974 on their skins forever. For the less daring, the option of getting a personalized caricature or photograph was also available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
