On the occasion of Javier Calleja’s upcoming exhibition at Almine Rech New York in November 2024, Almine Rech Editions will present S\u00ed, the first limited edition produced in collaboration with the prominent Spanish artist. The silkscreen print, produced at the prestigious Spanish workshop MadFaber, is limited to 75 copies, plus 15 artist’s proofs. With more than 40 screen-printed colours and adhesives applied by hand by the artist, this piece faithfully reflects Calleja’s unique style and distinctive stamp.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Javier Calleja is a renowned contemporary Spanish artist, whose playful and whimsical style combines childlike innocence with sharp wit. His works, often depicting figures with large, expressive eyes, often include simple shapes and humorous elements that generate an immediate emotional connection with the viewer. Inspired by cartoons, pop culture and everyday life, Calleja infuses his work with a mixture of nostalgia and curiosity, establishing himself as one of the most fascinating figures in international contemporary art.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
