The British capital, that great city that is always reinventing itself, is once again the epicentre of the Gucci<\/strong> universe in the fourth volume of Prospettive<\/em><\/strong>. Under the creative direction of Sabato De Sarno<\/a><\/strong>, the series delves into territories where fashion and cultural expression intertwine in a unique synergy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On this occasion, the choice of London<\/strong> was no coincidence, but a decision loaded with symbolism: \u2018When it came to choosing a destination for my first Cruise collection, London was the logical choice. It is a city that has had an enormous influence on me, that welcomed me and listened to me at a time in my life when feeling included (understood) could make a big difference in my future. The same thing happened to Guccio Gucci, whose story is intertwined with that of the Savoy Hotel in an almost magical way that has become legendary over time,\u2019<\/em><\/strong> confesses the creative director.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gucci<\/strong> and London<\/strong>‘s destinations have converged on multiple occasions, from the elegant salons of the Savoy<\/strong> in the early 20th century to the raw, post-industrial concrete tanks of the Tate Modern<\/strong>, the venue chosen for the Cruise 2025<\/a><\/strong> show. This iconic location not only connects people and ideas, but embodies the very essence of the city: a space that embraces both the classic and the contemporary. Surrounded by a green landscape with romantic overtones, the museum provided the ideal setting to underline the eternal connection between the House and the big city, merging past and present in a constant dialogue.<\/p>\n\n\n

The Gucci Prospettive<\/strong> series, published in collaboration with Contrasto<\/strong>, continues to explore new creative horizons. Ancora Londra<\/em><\/strong>, curated by Charlene Prempeh<\/strong> and Lewis Dalton<\/strong> Gilbert<\/strong>, founders of the creative studio A Vibe Called<\/strong> Tech<\/strong>, proposes an introspective journey through the richness and diversity of London<\/strong>: \u2018It is a city of dreamers. Inspiration springs from the most unexpected corners, and ideas flow and come to life in ways that are as seemingly serendipitous as they are surprising,\u2019<\/em><\/strong> say Prempeh<\/strong> and Gilbert<\/strong>. ‘We can try to define London by its geography, by the contrast between east and west or the difference between south and north, but the answer we get is a handful of archetypes and clich\u00e9s. The city and the people who pass through it, some of them familiar, escape any form of classification, for the only thing they truly embody is the tension and beauty of that opposition that we all harbour within us.’<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this way, the creative duo guide us through four chapters – DREAM BUILDINGS<\/strong>, PEOPLE WATCHING<\/strong>, WATCHING PEOPLE<\/strong> and BUILDING<\/strong> DREAMS<\/strong> – that show the importance of the relationship between space and the individual. The capital’s architecture, from the modernist lines of the Barbican Centre<\/strong> to the classical elegance of Mayfair<\/strong>, tells a story of constant reinvention and innovation, but without relinquishing its deep roots in tradition. The London<\/strong> that emerges in this volume is a collection of experiences that become surprising sources of inspiration; a place where the culture of contrasts is reflected in architectural and stylistic pairings that make each page an occasion for discovery.<\/p>\n\n\n
