En 2023, la diversi\u00f3n en el campo de la relojer\u00eda la puso la firma suiza Oris con un modelo fresco y entra\u00f1able que apelaba a nuestras emociones: una versi\u00f3n de su ProPilot X en titanio de 39 mm de di\u00e1metro al que se asomaba Gustavo, el reportero m\u00e1s dicharachero del Barrio S\u00e9samo. La rana (Kermit para los anglosajones), creada por el titiritero y productor de televisi\u00f3n estadounidense Jim Henson en los a\u00f1os 50 para el show Los Muppets, ameniz\u00f3 con su humor la infancia de varias generaciones, y ti\u00f1\u00f3 de color verde la esfera del reloj de Oris.<\/p>\n\n

Ahora, dos a\u00f1os despu\u00e9s, llega la exnovia de Gustavo, Peggy, otro icono de la cultura pop estadounidense, para colarse en otro ProPilot X de acero, \u00e9ste de un chill\u00f3n tono rosa, m\u00e1s fucsia que la piel de la cerdita animada (que no hay que confundir con Peppa Pig, bastante m\u00e1s joven que Peggy). El nuevo modelo es m\u00e1s propicio para una mu\u00f1eca femenina, pues mide 34 mm, y se le ha engastado un diamante de talla baguette, esto es, rectangular, a las 12 horas.<\/p>\n\n

Pero, \u00bfd\u00f3nde est\u00e1 Peggy? Porque en el dial no se la ve\u2026 Si Gustavo aparec\u00eda sonriente en la ventana de la fecha de las 6 h cada primer d\u00eda de mes, el retrato de la gorrina (con perd\u00f3n) se cuela discretamente en el rotor ubicado en el reverso de la caja sobre un fondo lila. Miss Piggy Edition, fruto del acuerdo entre Oris y el estudio Walt Disney Pictures, brinda la hora, los minutos y los segundos con rigor gracias a su movimiento autom\u00e1tico, que ofrece una reserva de marcha de unas 42 horas, y lo hace gui\u00f1ando un ojo a quien lo lleva puesto.<\/p>\n\n

El bisel y la corona estriados de la pieza recuerdan a una turbina. No en vano, el ProPilot X heredo la est\u00e9tica de los relojes de piloto de Oris. Adem\u00e1s, el reloj es herm\u00e9tico a unos 100 metros de profundidad. Su precio se ha establecido en 2.800 euros. Todo el conjunto le est\u00e1 pidiendo que sonr\u00eda, por favor.<\/p>\n\n
