The Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) has just unveiled the preliminary schedule for New York Fashion Week in February, with more than 54 shows and presentations of the collections for the FW25 season. An event that, like every year, will be the global epicentre of fashion, and that this 6 February promises to begin with an avalanche of creativity until it closes on 11 February.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among the names confirmed for the event are great veterans and established brands such as 5000, Anna Sui, Carolina Herrera, Christian Siriano, Coach, Eckhaus Latta, Khaite, Michael Kors, Monse, Prabal Gurung, Sandy Liang, Sergio Hudson, Tory Burch, Ulla Johnson, among many others. In addition, new proposals from designers such as Colleen Allen, Collina Strada, Diotima and Zankov will be added to the calendar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The week will be officially opened by Brandon Maxwell with a show that promises to set the tone for the season. The closing show will be by Thom Browne, who will close the cycle of catwalks on the night of 11 February. Elsewhere, names such as Christopher John Rogers, Altuzarra, Calvin Klein Collection by Veronica Leoni, and Norma Kamali also return after a brief absence from previous shows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The roster also brings with it several newcomers such as Alexis Bittar, Gabe Gordon, LEBLANCSTUDIOS by Yamil Arbaje and Angelo Beato, and Zoe Gustavia Anna Whalen who will be making their debut at the event. In addition, Bode will not be left behind and, in a strategic move, will present its BODE REC 2025 collection in a live show broadcast from the GQ Bowl, the famous event that coincides with Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, it’s not all glitz and glamour: several brands that are normally a must-see on the calendar have opted to be absent this year. Among them are Proenza Schouler, Helmut Lang, Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger and Jason Wu. Willy Chavarria, meanwhile, will present his Autumn\/Winter 2025 collection at Paris Men’s Fashion Week, scheduled for late January.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Joseph Maglieri, Director of Fashion Week Initiatives at the CFDA, \u2018NYFW is the ideal platform for designers to tell their stories and connect with their audiences in the most authentic way. This season reflects the dominant themes of the industry: calibration, innovation and a reaffirmation of brand sovereignty and resilience in the face of a changing global landscape\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n
