Balenciaga | PUMA presents a capsule that redefines the codes of technical sportswear through Demna’s radical vision. Originally introduced at the Winter 25 show, the collaboration embodies the creative tension between Balenciaga’s experimental design and PUMA’s high-performance archive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For this occasion, Balenciaga accompanies the launch with a campaign directed by Ari Versluis, renowned for his photography project Exactitudes, in collaboration with Ellie Uyttenbroek. Versluis’s documentary aesthetic serves as the framework for the Spring 2026 lookbook, Demna’s latest ready-to-wear offering for the House.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Models Diede, Tianee, Brooks, Yav, and Joe embody a visual choreography that combines garments from the capsule with select pieces from the FW25 collection, under the stylistic tension of gabber, softened by the melancholic soundtrack of Fran\u00e7oise Hardy’s All the Boys and Girls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The starting point is the Speedcat, launched in 1999. Balenciaga dismantled and reconstructed it using three approaches: the Speedcat Destroyed, with a completely deconstructed, sock-like upper and a reinterpreted iconic stripe; a slip-on version in soft leather that eliminates the lace as a symbol of speed and simplicity; and the Speedcat Ballerina, an unexpected hybrid of racing and ballet, reinterpreted in satin as a contrasting gesture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In terms of ready-to-wear, the Balenciaga | PUMA capsule explores classic sportswear silhouettes with the House’s conceptual precision. Technical tracksuits in extra-dry fleece and washed nylon revive visual codes from the 1990s, integrating the Balenciaga lion emblem as a point of tension between performance and heraldry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The more experimental pieces\u2014like a shearling jacket reinterpreted as training gear, or a suede bathrobe with a reverse fleece lining\u2014blur the lines between the functional and the illusory. T-shirts, sweatshirts, and shorts complete the collection, available in fitted, relaxed, and oversized silhouettes, bearing shared graphics that seal the collaboration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
