To commemorate this milestone, Oakley introduces the Oakley Ellipse 50th Anniversary – an exclusive edition that pays homage to a legacy defined by disruption while pointing directly to the infinite possibilities of the future. These glasses represent a bold vision of what’s to come, looking ahead to the next 50 years, and pay tribute to five decades of visionaries, inquiring minds and revolutionaries who have transformed culture and sport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2018The Oakley Ellipse 50th Anniversary celebrates half a century of brand innovation by taking the most iconic element of our identity – the ellipse – and bringing it to the forefront as a design protagonist,\u2019 says Nick Garfias, Oakley’s vice president of design. “What’s more, they represent a statement of intent, both to us and to our fans, about what’s to come. Design at Oakley has always been about moving forward, evolving. But just as things will continue to change, one thing will never change: our DNA. We believe that if you remove the logo from any of our products, it will still be unmistakably Oakley. And the Ellipse 50th Anniversary is certainly the clearest manifestation of that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Inspired by a singularity – that point where past, present and future collide – the Oakley Ellipse 50th Anniversary transcends any timeline. With a silhouette that takes shape from the iconic Oakley logo, the design fuses three eras: curved lines that evoke the bold aesthetic of the ’90s, a progressive temple inspired by the Radar EV, one of today’s best-selling models, and a futuristic lens designed with PhysioMorphic™ Geometry technology. This future-oriented design object comes in the exclusive Midas Fleck finish with Black Lucid treatment, gold accents and Prizm™ 24K lenses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
