The news was confirmed this morning by his family through a statement on social media: \u201cWith indescribable sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved Ozzy Osbourne<\/a> this morning. He was with his family, surrounded by much love.\u201d<\/strong> The note, signed by Sharon, Jack, Kelly, Aimee and Louis, ends with a request for privacy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Osbourne gave his last concert a few weeks ago in Birmingham<\/strong>, his hometown. On stage, he was joined by the original members of Black Sabbath: Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward. It was the band\u2019s first joint performance in two decades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
