Celebrating the New York designer’s comeback to the world of footwear.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Surprisingly, Marc Jacobs<\/strong> has set aside his theatrical imagery to reveal his more utilitarian side, presenting highly functional sneakers that consolidate the retro aesthetic as one of the trends of the summer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Inspired by 2000s running, the 72 Spring<\/em><\/strong> moves away from the voluminous maximalism of previous silhouettes such as the Lazy Runner<\/em><\/strong> and Jogger<\/em><\/strong>. Instead, it opts for a more refined and streamlined structure, without sacrificing a rich layered construction. The upper combines mesh with technical panels, and the design is finished with colour combinations ranging from fuchsia with acid green to total black or a very special version in frayed denim.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There is an explanation for this evolution: Marc Jacobs<\/strong> has teamed up with Aret\u00e9<\/strong>, an acclaimed design studio that has previously worked with big names in the industry such as Raf Simons<\/strong>, Stone Island<\/strong> and A-Cold-Wall<\/strong>. Now, it has embarked on a new collaboration that exudes intention, sophistication and vision in every detail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
